What is Real Social Change?

What is Real Social Change?

At YLab, we want to drive the kind of social change that gets to the root causes of the complex issues facing our world. We believe that treating the symptoms is not enough to create genuine and lasting change… we must dig deeper into the structures and systems of these issues to be able to make things better.

In this module we will:

  • Explain why real social change is actually systems change
  • Introduce you to ‘systems thinking’, including answering the question: ‘what even is a system tho?!’
  • Explore the ins and outs of systems, where they start and end, who’s designing them and why
  • Dive into how systems change happens, and introducing you to the adaptive cycle model.
